The heart of the Daiwa Saltist Boat 8640-BU is the slim and powerful 2 equal section X45 carbon blank. This is enhanced with 3DX to give a blank with a smooth and powerful curve which resists twist and applies more strain on the fish the harder you bend into it.
The handle features a powerlift fore-grip to give you a secure grip whilst the Fuji DPS reel seat holds the reel firmly in place.
Fuji K-Guides are used throughout giving smooth line flow with both braid and nylon.
The Daiwa Saltist Boat Rod 2pc is a longer rod but the two equal sections means that it packs to a convenient 134cm. It makes an excellent rod for fishing lures in deep water and over offshore wrecks. It also has the power to handle larger bottom species such as blondes and tope, both on the drift and at anchor.
