The Crosscast Land and Retain net is a game changer when it comes to the current trend of using the net as a way of retaining the carp before weighing and returning to the water.

Daiwa have added a spike to the base of the net so that it can be pushed into the toughest of ground easily.

Daiwa realised that 3 things needed to happen to make this work correctly:

• Reduce the diameter of the handle so it entered the ground easily.
• Move up the EVA handle area so it doesn’t get covered in mud and dirt.
• Slightly increase the depth of the net so that the fish can be retained.

Daiwa have also added a cover for the spike to help protect the angler when not in use.
