The IRAY RICO RL42 Series was built to do two things: Make the best image possible and be easy to use.
At the heart of the IRAY RICO RL42 Series is a 384x288 12um <40mk thermal sensor. The IRAY RICO RL42 features a high-performance iRay Micro II core and an extremely high contrast AMOLED HD display.
The IRAY RICO RL42 comes with superb image processing, it takes the game one step further than the competition with Advanced Image Correction and Automatic Image Optimization courtesy of the MATRIX III image algorithm. Unmatched image quality paired with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, picture-in-picture picture function, 6 hour run time, Aluminum alloy housing, 1000 G shock resistance, and 32 Gb of internal memory gives you all the tools you need to take your hunt to the next level.
The IRAY RICO RL42s sets itself apart from the pack with iRay's incredibly powerful MATRIX III image processing algorithm. The system is optically and electronically optimized and produces an image that pushes the boundaries of log-wave infrared image clarity.
A high quality and efficient li-ion 3.7 V, 4400 mAh battery pack operates the Mk1 for a minimum of 6 hours, and up to 10 hours on standby. The battery can be quickly removed and replaced with a new external power connected to the USB-C connector if you don’t want to power off.
Please note, the InfiRay RICO Laser Rangefinder is sold separately. A 3 pin plug adaptor is required for use in the UK. This is not supplied.
When first operating your RICO hold down the first three buttons for 20-40 seconds upon turning on the device in order to get the Reticle to show.

Features
The Rico series is embedded with an infrared, independently developed high-performance VOx detector, which offers you vivid, highly detailed thermal images. It is easier to search for targets in the dark with amazingly sharp image quality.
The high contrast AMOLED microdisplay with HD resolution offers sharp images and vivid colours. The display screen has excellent image quality and produces a flawless performance, even in freezing temperatures.
The built-in ultraclear mode is specially designed for harsh weather conditions, such as heavy fog and rain. It will be more sensitive and display more details.
Simple and easy to operate is the initial design intention of the Rico series. The vivid icon design offers a visualized guide and translucent background of the menu display, ensuring the user observes the target unobstructed.
The Picture-in-Picture function improves accuracy by providing a 2 x-magnified image of the reticle area, at the top of the display. It helps to magnify the target while maintaining visibility of the entire field of view.
The Rico series features exceptionally high shock resistance up to 1000 G.
- 12 µm Thermal Imaging Sensor
Embedded high-performance 12 μm pixel pitch detectors.
- Expandable Laser Ranging Function
Please note, the InfiRay RICO Laser Rangefinder is sold separately.
The Rico series offers laser ranging capabilities, which can accurately capture and display the target distance with an accuracy of ± 1 m and a maximum distance of 1000 m. Integrated, precision laser rangefinder provides accurate rangefinding in two modes – Single Time Measurement and Scanning mode with ±1 m accuracy up to 1 km distance. Scanning mode allows the shooter to adjust quickly to changing distances for better shot placement.
- Long detection range up to 2600 m
Powerful objective lens in combination with professional-grade thermal imaging sensor with NETD ≤40 mK provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8m tall object can be detected at a 2600m distance in complete darkness.
The Rico series support a 3.7 V, 4400 mAh large-capacity battery pack that operates for 6 hours. With the ability to maintain a continuous power supply at any time outdoors, it provides an ideal battery solution. The batteries can be quickly removed and replaced in a matter of seconds.
The Rico series offers video recording and image capture during observation. The video and photo can be easily transmitted via wired or WiFi connection. The Built-in video recorder is a great asset when it comes to filming or taking photos of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. One press of the REC button captures footage that can be shared easily with colleagues, friends, and family. 32Gb of internal memory provides many hours of recorded video and tons of photos.
- Built-in Accelerometer and Digital Compass
The built-in accelerometer and digital compass improves accuracy by precisely identifying cant and angles. It can indicate the direction and degree of lateral tilting.
